The Practice

Emotional yoga — one minute to steady yourself before the day pulls you.

“Daily Rit is a simple practice of orientation. It is designed to reduce friction anytime during your day — without pressure, noise, or performance.”

It is not a system to master. It is a posture you return to — then you continue your life.

What a Daily Rit is

A Daily Rit is a one-minute act of alignment.

You pause long enough to steady your attention, choose a posture, and begin without urgency.

The goal is not intensity. The goal is calm direction.

What it is not

It is not a productivity method.

It is not a habit streak.

It is not motivation.

It is not a feed.

It does not measure you.

How to approach it

1. Pause

Stop for one minute. Not to think harder — to soften the start.

2. Name your posture

Choose a simple posture for the day. Examples: steady, patient, grounded, unclenched, clear, kind.

3. Begin

Take one small step in the direction of your day — without acceleration.

Choose one sentence

Use one — or write your own. Keep it short.

  • “You don’t need to earn rest. It’s already allowed.”
  • “Stillness doesn’t require emptiness. Only permission.”
  • “Let today be incomplete. Let questions stay open.”
  • “You don’t need to drop everything. Just set something down.”

Choose one. Carry it with you today.

Permission

You are allowed to come and go.

You are allowed to skip days.

You are allowed to return without explaining where you’ve been.
